Safeguarding

Keeping people safe is the foundation of good care. This page explains our commitment and what to do if you have a concern.

Our commitment

Everyone has the right to live free from abuse and neglect. Safeguarding is woven into how we recruit, train and supervise our team: enhanced DBS checks for all staff, thorough referencing, safeguarding training from day one, and regular supervision where concerns can be raised and acted on.

When our regulated care services launch, our safeguarding arrangements will be inspected as part of our CQC registration and ongoing regulation.

What safeguarding means

Safeguarding means protecting an adult's right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect. Abuse can be physical, emotional, sexual, financial or discriminatory — and it includes neglect and self-neglect. Concerns can arise anywhere: at home, in a care setting, or in the community.

If you're worried about someone

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Otherwise, contact your local authority's adult safeguarding team — in Essex, you can find the right contact via the Essex Safeguarding Adults Board at essexsab.org.uk.

If your concern involves one of our staff or services, please tell us directly at info@communitycarepartners.co.uk and mark it 'Safeguarding'. Every concern is taken seriously, handled confidentially, and escalated to the appropriate authority where needed.

Whistleblowing

Our staff are encouraged and supported to raise concerns without fear. Anyone working for or with us can raise a safeguarding or safety concern directly with our leadership team, and with the relevant regulator or local authority at any time.
